Brady has reported on sports and news in Nebraska and Wyoming. He has been a staff reporter at the Casper Star-Tribune and Lincoln Journal Star. Recently, he served as managing editor of five weekly newspapers (Seward County Independent, Crete News, Milford Times, Wilber Republican and Friend Sentinel) in his native Nebraska. He then served as managing editor of the Sublette Examiner and Pinedale Roundup, the latter was bestowed the General Excellence Award as Best Small Weekly Newspaper in Wyoming during his leadership.

His freelance work has appeared in news outlets across the country.
